  1.     These are the release notes for SuperPass V2.1.  
  2.  
  3.     SuperPass V2.0 was released mainly for alpha testing.  V2.0b was a
  4. wide-range BETA distribution version.  Minor bugs were found in the
  5. personalize-file reader, and there were miscellaneous code fixings,
  6. including sections of code for my own use while debugging.  If you have
  7. 2.0, it is recommended that you install this update package onto your
  8. system to avoid any future difficulty.  V2.1 is a quick update to 2.0b,
  9. where a small bug was found (thanks Mats!) wherein a filename other than
  10. "s:jdw.passwords" was specified for the password filename.  The result of
  11. this bug was that the program would just overwrite however many characters
  12. were in the specified filename, leaving whatever characters remained from
  13. "s:jdw.passwords" on the end!  Stupid mistake on my part:  I forgot to tell
  14. the argument reader to put a NULL at the end of the password_file string!

  17.     I obviously do not have the money to have multiple Amiga setups at
  18. my home, so although I have tested it with A1000 2.5 meg and A1200 4 meg
  19. machines, this does not mean it will definately work on your system.
  20. Please E-mail me any problems you have with the software so that I may look
  21. at them.  I do not have enforcer or anything of that sort, so if you are
  22. experiencing 'hits,' first explain to me what a hit is, and then tell me
  23. what I need to do about it.  :) I haven't the faintest about what to do
  24. with someone saying, "Enforcer gave me a hit in your program." So please,
  25. for the sake of my sanity, FILL ME IN with a little bit more information.

  28.     V2.0b and above also include the REBOOT command package inside the
  29. archive, enabling easy installation.  If you do NOT use the installer
  30. script, you must MANUALLY unpack and install the reboot command to your C:
  31. directory for SuperPass to operate correctly.  Thanks to the author of
  32. REBOOT for creating a quick & small solution to rebooting from the CLI!
